Tutors for Partners in Learning are experienced, highly effective educators, and experts in their respective fields. Academic Directors take the time to thoughtfully place students with an educator who will best fit his or her needs. Additionally, our team strives to develop a strong relationship with students in order to build an environment that promotes self confidence and perseverance. 

Our team is trained in numerous researched-based intervention programs. Some of these programs include Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Wilson Fundations, Just Words, Read Naturally, and the Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention. Additionally, they have experience in Singapore math programs, Eureka Math/ Engage NY, Go Math, My Math, Touch Math, Investigations, and Everyday Math.

Our team consists of diverse educators to fit the needs of all our students. On staff, we have math specialists, reading specialists, early literacy teachers, middle school and high school math teachers, special education teachers, and more!

Academic specialist: Anna meyer

Anna Meyer brings expertise in executive function and learning disabilities in reading to the Partners in Learning team. Anna is completing her PhD in Special Education from the University of Maryland. Anna's dissertation examines the contribution of executive function to reading comprehension for students in upper elementary school. She holds a Master's Degree in Special Education with a focus on reading disabilities. Additionally, she has co-authored a book on vocabulary development in young children, contributed to articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals, and given presentations on reading development and interventions at national conferences. Anna has extensive experience working with students diagnosed with dyslexia and/or ADHD and is trained in Orton-Gillingham based programs.
