Brian Garfield is an experienced language acquisition specialist who has worked in DC Public Schools for seven years. He is trained in multiple research-based programs for literacy, including I.M.S.F. Orton-Gillingham, the Wilson Reading System, and the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention program. He holds a bachelor's degree in literature and international studies from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and a juris doctorae from the University of Iowa. Brian excels in empowering students to take charge of the learning process and build confidence in literacy.
Arabic Language Tutor
Ali Ibrahim has over two decades of experience teaching English as a second language and Arabic. He has taught in the DC Public School system, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, for the US Army, and for three years in his native country of Egypt. Mr. Ibrahim is trained in the Wilson Reading System, the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention Program, and Orton-Gillingham programs. He has a bachelor's degree from Cairo University and a master's degree from the University of North Carolina in educational technology.
